The team was formed at the end of 2005. Tim was looking for a new passenger after a 4year break from the sport due to injury. Darren had opened his big mouth to an ex sidecar driver that he fancied a go as a passenger just to see what it was like.
Tim having a colourful and successful racing career, starting back in the 80's both as driver and passenger on a 350cc outfit before moving up to a F2 600cc, then on to a F1 1000cc outfit which he won the Pegasus F1 title in 2000, and also claim the Peter Minion challenge handicap race that same year, From the back of the grid.
(Peter Minion is only a small bloke but a huge character loved by many people in the sidecar paddock)
2001 Saw Tim move up to the ACU MRO F1 championship. Unfortunately a big crash ended his season until 2005
Darren had been racing solo motorcycles for a number of years in club races and the now no more KRC British Endurance Championship. Taking 2nd place in class in 2001 with 2 race wins and 3 seconds. The last 5years he has been competing with Derby Phoenix club, racing in their Formula 400 and steel frame class.
2005 saw the pair come together for a couple of outings on a Bruce Ford Dunn outfit powered by a 500cc two stroke Krasser engine. So Darren could get a feel for passengering and Tim could get his head back into it. After a couple of races they started to gel and they were ready for 2006, with the aim to just get quicker through out the season ready for a crack at The Derby Phoenix F1 championship in 2007. 2007 didn,t go quite to plan. The season started with 8 non finishes due to electrical problems which cost us any chance of winning the championship, but with constant top 3 finishes in the second half of the season saw us finish 3rd in the championship, aswell as wins with other clubs.
